About

Artist Statement:

Our uniqueness and fragility in the Universe implores me to strive for an answer to the unanswerable. Through the use of materials as symbolic representations of life, such as food, honey, mold, hair, beeswax, latex and silicone, I create systems of beings to explore these questions. These beings are dictated by the physics of their material properties and their inevitable life cycles of creation and ultimate destruction through the failure of materials and progression of time. The consequences of this materiality mimic the serendipitous moments captured by life and death, and the ephemeral nature of our existence.
